We are so excited to announce our next Musical in a Week Show- The Little Mermaid Jr!! This holiday program will run in the 2026 Winter school holidays at the lovely Bluestone Theatre Kyneton, Jun 29th- Jul 4th with fully costumed performances on the 4th! Open to all (not just enrolled students) ages 8-18 (under 19).
Our musical in a week program is a super fun holiday program where students can audition for a role in a show, they are then cast and given a script and music to learn their part from home and then we spend a week at the Bluestone Theatre during the holidays putting the show together and rehearsing and then perform the show at the end of the week in the theatre with full costumes, lights, the works!
The Rehearsal week will be Jun 29th – Jul 4th 2026 at Bluestone Theatre Kyneton with the shows on the 4th, it is such a great experience to be able spend the whole week in the theatre! Students will be required from 10:00am- 4:00pm Mon-Friday and for shows Saturday (times TBA)
Price- $365 +gst (including audition fee), balance due on acceptance or payment plans available.
If for some reason the show can not go ahead show fees will be refundable or transferable to our next show. If possible we will post-pone rather than cancel and cast members will be able to choose to keep their roles or withdraw.
If a cast member can no longer participate after accepting their role they will be eligible for a 50% refund as their costumes ect will have already been organized.
AUDITIONS
AUDITIONS BOOKINGS NOW OPEN!
ALL auditionees are to participate in a GROUP session regardless of the role you are going for- this will cater to all levels and will involve movement so please dress appropriately. If you are unable to attend either of the GROUP time offered please contact us.
When booking please select a GROUP Movement audition AND a SOLO singing/acting audition time if you wish to be considered for a role with lines. For solo auditions please prepare a song (1 verse and 1 chorus is plenty) in the style of the show and bring a backing track on a Bluetooth capable device for your solo audition. A variety of lines will be available for different roles here– we may ask you to read any of these during your solo audition. We do not expect you to know them in advanced and you will have the script to read from, however you are welcome to familiarize yourself with them if you wish!
If you wish to be considered for an ensemble role with no or very minimal solo lines you can book the GROUP session only and you don’t need to prepare anything.
If you are unable to attend any of the times available please contact us to organize a video audition.
